After Jan Van Den Hecke's 17th Century etching Horses and Cows, this delightful etching shows the animals grazing in a field. Hecke completed a series of prints in the 1650's named Zoographia which depicted various animals in natural settings. Well presented in a thin wooden frame and cream card mount. Unsigned. Artist Biography
Jan van den Hecke I (1620-1684) was a Flemish painter, draughtsman and etcher who was renowned for his still life scenes of luxurious flower arrangements. He lived and worked in Brussels, Rome and Antwerp.
