After Henry Thomson RA (1773-1843) 'Crossing the Brook'. A late George III silkwork picture of a maiden and child in a landscape. Presented behind glass in a beautiful gilt frame. Signed with initials 'F.P' lower left. Inscribed verso with information about Thomson's original oil, exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1803. On silk.Condition
This silkwork is in remarkable condition for its age. Minor UV damage to the silk thread and substrate. Overall the thread has remained quite vibrant. Light wear to the gilt frame.
