Description

A photogravure after Henrietta Rae's (1859-1928) painting 'Ophelia' (1890) which hangs in the collection of the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Rae specialised in classical, allegorical and literary subjects and was connected to Lawrence Alma-Tadema, George Frederic Watts, and Frank Bernard Dicksee. Presented in a cream mount. Inscribed with the title and name of the artist in plate. On wove laid to board.

Condition

There is some foxing and discolouration and some slight scratches to the surface.
