An unusual reproduction of a fresco by the Italian Renaissance fresco artist Giovanni Battista Zelotti. The print has been done on a heavily gessoed and plastered canvas, to mimic a plaster fresco wall, to great effect. The fresco is presented in a wooden frame. There are two labels at the reverse. One has information about the original fresco and artist, the other has an Italian inscription and has been signed and numbered (151/999) by the print maker. On gesso and plaster canvas.
Condition
The plaster work has some cracking around the edges and some losses to the lower edge and upper right quadrant. These add to the appearance of an old fresco.
