After George Walker - Original 19th Century Engraving. A later coloured stipple engraving, originally engraved by R & D Havell after George Walker and published by Robinson & Son, Leeds, 1814. Plate 23 from a series of 40 engravings by Walker depicting scenes of Yorkshire life, first published as "The Costume of Yorkshire" in 1814. Unsigned. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. More severe discolouration and yellowing to the sheet margin, with some minor abrasions to the paper edges and mount burn. Stain to the lower centre margin. Some slight wrinkling to paper in areas. Small tear to lower centre edge.
