Description

A sanguine coloured print after the 1789 oil painting by the French Neoclassical painter Elisabeth Vigee-Lebrun(1755-1842), now in the Musee du Louvre in Paris. Presented in a wooden frame with an inner girl slip. Inscribed in pencil on the reverse 'Louvre, Mme Lebrun'. Unsigned.

Condition

There is a 1 cm surface mark to the print just above the mother's ear. There is a also a light surface scratch to the lower left corner. Very light scuffing to edges of frame. Overall appearance is good.
