Description

This appealing stipple engraving with aquatint shows a group of two girls and a boy in classical dress playing Blind Man's Buff. A circular design after Angelica Kauffman and engraved by a pupil of Bartolozzi, Peltro William Tomkins .
Published in London July 9 1783 by J. Birchall No. 473 Strand. The engraving is presented in an attractive gilt frame. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and areas of foxing. As this is a much later strike, areas of the original plate (such as the text() have been worn down to give a slightly faded version. The frame is in fine condition.
