Adam Knight (1855-1931) was a painter who was born in Shifnal, Shropshire. The 1911 census lists him as a hosiery manufacturer living in West Bridgford, Nottingham. He was a member and exhibitor at the Ipswich Fine Art Club, 1921-32 and exhibited at the RBSA, MAFA, Walker Art Gallery, Nottingham Castle Museum, Royal Academy from 1885-1931, RCamA, RI, RBA, and Walker's Gallery. Knight was also a member of the Nottingham Society of Artists and held office as President and Vice-President of that Society.
