A pair of city scenes in Liverpool, one depicting St George's church which was demolished in 1899, and the other depicting a view from a dockyard. The latter painting has a watermarked date of 1836. Both have labels inscribed with their locations on the verso, cut from the remnants of a sketchbook in which they were previously presented. Unsigned. On watermarked Whatman wove.
Condition
There is some slight discolouration to both but overall they are in good condition.
