Description

Two delicate watercolour studies depicting sailing ships close to shore. The main image is inscribed 'A wreck ashore. The Vitruvius of Liverpool. Portrush Aug 10th 1868". Figures can be seen swarming around the hull of the boat as it sits on the beach. Unsigned. On wove laid to card.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discoloration and foxing.
