Description

A pair of well rendered studies from Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. The drawings show the Biblical figures of Zacherias and Ezechiel, seated in an ornate pendentive, surrounded by cherubs and nymphs. The artist has signed the bottom left corner of both drawings. The drawings are presented in off white card mounts and smart, glazed, black wood frames. Signed. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There are some superficial scuffs to the picture frames.

Artist Biography

A F Remmett produced many views of English countryside, including Devon, Yorkshire, Norfolk and predominantly Sussex. Remmett worked mostly in watercolour and pen but was also an accomplished draughtsman using graphite to create many studies of Renaissance master's works.
