Description
A striking architectural view of Warwick castle from the river. The scene is set on an idyllic Summer's day with swans swimming on the glassy water, surrounded by lily pads, under a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. The artist has signed and dated to the lower right and the painting has been exquisitely presented in a very fine gilt frame with delicate molding and a crisp, double layer mount There is a framer's label at the reverse. On watercolour paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There are several foxed spots to the upper right quadrant and a line of abrasion to the surface of the paper. The frame is in fine condition.
