A very fine 19th-century miniature watercolour depicting a rosy-cheeked Victorian gentleman. Rendered in impressive detail, the artist has given great attention to the facial features. Signed and dated to the right. Well presented in a black papier-mâché frame. On a white bone-like substance.
Condition
The artwork is in fine condition. The frame shows signs of wear consistent with age, including some cracking to the papier mache frame and a small loss to the lower-right corner.
