A finely painted watercolour study by listed British artist Alexander Brantingham-Simpson (fl.1904-1931). The scene shows two ladies in pretty pink dresses, picking berries from the garden. Delicately finished with bodycolor by the artist. The watercolour has been elegantly presented in a narrow gilt frame with a crisp white mount. Monogrammed to the lower right. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light wear to the frame.

Artist Biography
Alexander Brantingham Simpson R.I. (fl.1904-1931) exhibited at the Royal Academy (1904-20) and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (1904-31). A relatively unknown artist, most likely based on the continent and appears to have largely depicted village scenes throughout France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
