20th Century Decorative Gilt Frame Surrounding a Print of an Elizabethan child

Description

A late 20th Century classical style gilt composite frame with scroll and shell detail to the lower centre and running leaf detail to the edges. Contained within the frame is a very finely executed print of a young Elizabethan girl which has been enhanced with small areas of pastel. The resulting effect is very attractive, and could be taken for an original pastel at first glance. The frame measures (57 x 44cm); Rebate measures (46 x 36cm); Window measures (45 x 34cm).

Condition

The frame has some minor wear and losses to the edges as shown, but overall the appearance is very attractive.
