A fine 19th century portrait miniature in watercolour, depicting an eligible young bachelor, suited with a serious stare. The study has been well presented in a 19th century paper mache frame with brass inner window and acorn hanger. Unsigned. On a white bone-like substrate.
Condition
The watercolour has an area of fading to the background, visible to the right-hand edge. The paper mache frame has some stress lines on its surface and the brass decoration has tarnished.
