A grand and impressive mid 19th Century frame with a concave fluted cove and lily of the valley ornamentation and stick and ribbon on the exterior back edge. It is glazed and presented with a arched burgundy car mount inside. The inner window measures 34cm x 44cm and the rebate is 46cm x 36cm.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age. There are two losses to the right edge, and chips to all four corners at the back edge/ There is scuffing to the gilt effect at the bottom of the inner window and at the bottom edge.
