The artist has captured the scene in the soft light of the setting sun which gently reflects from the surface of the river. Unsigned. There is an artist label to the reverse that is obscured by the canvas edges. Presented in swept gilt frame with fine foliate and shell details. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Some very slight losses of paint to the upper edge of the canvas. The canvas has been relined.
