A rare and wonderful mid 19th century coromandelwood writing slope. With extensive use of brass inlay on all edges. Absolutely original with original inkwells with crowns on the lids (not sure what that means - possible royal connections?). The original keys for both the lid to the box and the lock to the well are present, and both locks work perfectly. The secret compartment with drawers all works perfectly, and even the original knobs on the hidden drawers are present. The leather skiver is original and excellent. In fact, condition throughout is virtually flawless. What a find! 45 x 26 x 19 cm.
