Original 18th Century Embroidery. We aren't sure exactly what this is. It is certainly very old hand worked silkwork on some kind of paper. It might be oriental paper. The paper has deteriorated. One side displays faded silkwork and the other side is unfaded as shown. In contrast to the deteriorated paper, the silkwork itself is in remarkably good condition.
