Original 18th Century Embroidery. Silkwork embroidery after an etching of 'Christ and the Woman of Samaria at Jacob's Well'. The engraved text from the print and the faces, hands and feet, are sewn onto the embroidery. There is a 3 1/2 cm horizontal tear in the fabric near the top edge. In a gilt frame. There is a knock to the frame at the lower left corner.
