Original 1856 Watercolour. Inscribed and dated to backing paper. Inscribed and dated. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing and stains.

Caroline de Pfeffel was married to Baron Charles de Pfeffel and was part of a line of French nobility, to which Boris Johnson is a distant relative.
