A street scene in Manchester featuring a historic inn named the Rising Sun. The substrate is watermarked with the date 1836. There is a label inscribed with the location on the verso, cut from the remnants of a sketchbook in which the painting was previously presented. Unsigned. On watermarked Whatman wove.

There is some slight discolouration but overall in very good condition.
