A delicately drawing rural scene in graphite, showing a couple passing by a stone cottage on a winding dirt road. The drawing is framed by a very pretty and intricate wood engraving. The frame has interlocking circles and acanthus leaf corner details. The artist has signed and dated to the lower left corner. The paper has a very faint pink hue and the border is in a dark brown. The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and dirtying to the corners.
