William Say (1768-1834) - Original Early 19th Century Mezzotint. After a painting by Henry Fradelle. Possibly late 19th-century. From the collection of Christopher Lennox-Boyd. Signed in plate. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Variosu small tear to edges.

William Say (1768 - 1834) Mezzotint engraver of portraits and historical, genre and decorative subjects after his contemporaries and Old Master Painters. Born near Norwich, he came to London at the age of Twenty and was apprenticed to J. Ward. In 1807 he was appointed engraver to the Duke of York.
