William Oram Trivett (1872-1955) - Early 20th Century Watercolour, French Street
DescriptionA late 19th or early 20th century watercolour street scene by the artist William Dram Trivett. Here he has captured La Vielle Maison, Rue Saint Romain in Rouen. In the fifteenth century, it was a workshop of the Barbe family, known as master glass painters. Its picturesque character has made it a favorite subject for painters and engravers. Painted on wove laid to card. Signed.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some light discolouration. With tape residue visible to lower edge. Some scuffing to edges.
