Collection Information
Violet E.M. Birch was an early 20th Century British artist. In this fine selection of watercolours, her focus on the sartorial style of the 1930's and 40's adds an enchanting glamour to her many portraits of ladies, at a time when the Second World War was raging across Europe. Also included are several religious and child Christmas card designs, and most works are signed and dated.
