Artist Biography

Sydney Vale F.R.S.A (1916-1992). Born in 1916. Sydney Vale was a prolific watercolour artist, admired for his looseness of style and his confident application of the medium. His works were well known in the London shows and prominent in the exhibitions of the famous Wapping Group of Artists, who specializes in portraying scenes of the River Thames from source to estuary. Sydney Vale was a member of the Langham Sketch Club and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
