Artist Biography

Sybil Mullen Glover was born in Cheshire and studied at St. Martin's School of Art. She exhibited in the United States, Sweden, the Royal Academy, New English Art Club, Royal Institute of Oil Painters and most of the leading galleries in this country. Mullen Glover is best known for her nautical scenes in watercolour. She made history when elected the first woman council member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Plymouth City Gallery, Brighton Art Gallery and the National Maritime Museum.
