A print over-painted with cryla acrylic paint. Inscribed and dated to the reverse. Sir John Murray MacGregor Bart. C.B, 19th Chief of Clan Gregor was born on 9th June 1785. He served in the army and rose to the rank of Major General. He founded the Clan Gregor Society in 1822. This portrait after George Watson PRA depicts MacGregor in the uniform he wore at the Holyrood Palace in 1822, when King George IV made his first visit to Edinburgh. On board.
