An exquisite early 20th Century watercolour by the listed Japanese artist Shigesaburo Ishida (1880-1960). This finely painted watercolour depicts two figures walking down a country path at dawn with Japanese white maple trees either side. Sweeping areas of watercolour wash interlaced with delicate brushstrokes, expertly portrays the artist's clear proficiency in the medium.
Signed in the lower left hand corner. Well presented in a double card mount and a simple wood frame with gilt effect detailing, as shown.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor foxing. The frame contains some very minor scuffed edges. Overall in fine condition.
