DescriptionAn excellent 19th Century oil by the listed British artist Robert Finlay Mcintyre. Depicting a woman and child wandering a road in Hampstead, the piece is typical of Mcintyre's impressionist style and London based subject matter. Titled and signed on the reverse. On canvas on stretchers.
Inspection under UV light reveals some restoration to the lower left area. Two repaired tears are visible from the back. There is also some losses to the paint at the edges of the canvas.

Robert Finlay McIntyre (1846-1906) was a London based artist who exhibited at The Royal Academy, The New England Art Club and The Goupil Group. His paintings are delicate and often painted in an impressionistic manner.
