The artwork is signed in the bottom right-hand corner and bears an inscription on the reverse that reads 'To Mr + Mrs W. J. Madge, wishing you a merry x.mass, from R. Wane.'
The artwork is also presented in a moulded and gilded wood frame with a gilt slip.On wove.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.
