Patricia Lomax (b.1934) - 2003 Oil, Evening Tide

A striking abstract expressionist composition by the British artist Patricia Lomax. Much of her work is derived from the landscape around her. The expressive brushstrokes and bold, strong marks Lomax has used draws the eye to the dynamic composition. Patricia's work has been influenced by the tumultuous decades through which she has lived, "filtered through the lens of a cheerful and optimistic nature". It is clear to see within this work how Lomax is drawn to strong colours and contemporary style. Signed, dated and incribed on the reverse. On canvas on stretchers.

In fine condition overall. Some light wear and abrasions to the edges of the canvas.
