A wonderful still life depicting a large vase of summer flowers in full bloom. With a masterful control of light and form, this striking composition is a fine example early 20th century art. Handsomely presented in an ornate gilt effect frame. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
The condition is good for a painting of this age. There is some surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals no sign of restoration. Minor losses and marks to the frame. With a small loss to the gilt moulding at the lower right corner.
