Nathan S. Brown - 1964 Watercolour, Wreck Of The Boxer

A striking watercolour showing the wreck of the schooner "Boxer" that ran aground in 1901. The scene is very atmospheric with dark clouds scudding across the sky and a chink of blue seen between them. The painting is done in watercolour with gouache body work.

The painting has been signed in the bottom left corner by the artist and is presented in a glazed, dark wood frame.

On wove.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The frame is in fine condition with a small chip to the right hand edge.

27.3 x 36.2cm (10.7" x 14.3")
Framed Size: 38.3 x 47cm (15.1" x 18.5")
