Description

Six hand inscribed pages from the original album together with one page containing a George III wax seal. The pages feature poems & writings from Old Toby, Charles Wolfe, Mary Chadwick and Arthur Sullman. Pages measure 27.5 x 22cm.

Condition

Pages in condition typical of age with some discolouration.

Collection Information

From a 19th century album of very fine Victorian watercolours and graphite drawings by members of the Buckley family, who were an artistic Irish family originally from Cork. Featuring works by Charles Frederick Buckley (1812-1869), John Edmund Buckley (1820-1884), W. R Buckley and others. An original inscription in the album reads 'Mrs Holdernesse - the gift of her affectionate brother C F Buckley.
