Artist Biography

Born in 1900, Michael Crawley is best know for his work on 'Royal Crown Derby' and his designs have appeared frequently on their products. During his time at Royal Crown Derby he was responsible for decorating a series of dinner plates and a cream jug presented to HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother on the occasion of her visit to the Royal Crown Derby factory in 1971. In 1974 he painted six plates with Derbyshire scenes which were presented to HRH Princess Anne when she visited Royal Crown Derby.
