Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration in margins and soft creasing to corners. ROMANES Margaret C. b. 1893 Little-known painter and printmaker, born in Edinburgh. Encouraged by Stanley Cursiter, she was largely self-taught and showed her work in Scotland at the RSA. She is believed to have also worked as a psychotherapist in Edinburgh during the 1940’s with a Doctor Rushforth at the Davidson Clinic and is thought to have undergone psychoanalysis herself.
