A fine 1809 stipple engraving by Mariano Bovi after Cipriani, entitled 'Nymphs and Satyr'. Inscribed 'London: Published Jan 1st 1809 by R.J. Hixon, 440 Strand'. Well-presented in a verre eglomise mount with Hogarth-style black lacquer effect frame with gilt edging. Signed in plate. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. The frame has marks to the eglomise mount around the edges and wear to the edges of the frame.
