Luigi Montanarini (1906-1998) - Mid 20th Century Tempera, Abstract IV
DescriptionA lively and expressive mid 20th Century tempera by the Italian artist Luigi Montanarini (1906-1998). The bold colours and gestural marks work in harmony to create an energetic composition, capturing the essence of the subject matter. The tempera technique brings an element of delicacy to the picture, contrasted against the stark, bold lines in black ink. Signed in the lower right hand corner, as shown in the images provided. Signed. On wove.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some very minor discolouration and some surface paint loss, as shown.
