Léopold Flameng - Original 1878 Etching. After a picture by William Powell Frith. Published by the Art Union of London, 122 Strand, London in 1878. Laid on board. Signed in plate. On wove. Large water stain to upper side, with marks and discolouration as pictured.

Léopold Flameng (Brussels 22 November 1831 – September 1911) was a French engraver, illustrator and painter. He was also the illustrator in the 1868 Revised edition of Picciola by Xavier Boniface Saintine published after his death in 1865.
