L Pettersson - 1996 Oil, A Country Lane After The Rain

Description
A fine oil of a substantial size depicting the country lane by Flatford Mill after the rain. The lane leads to Willy Lott's Cottage, famously depicted in John Constable's (1776-1837) 'The Hay Wain' (1821). Pettersson was familiar with the area from his paper round in the 1970s and has painted the reflections in the puddles and the thatched cottage in great detail.
This very large canvas has been signed and dated in the bottom right corner.

The painting is in fine condition.
