L.B - Mid 19th Century Watercolour, Ships Caught in a Storm

Item Sold

A very fine dramatic seascape with ships attempting to escape an approaching tornado. A later inscription with initials to the reverse, presumably taken from an inscription on the original album page. Unsigned. On wove.

Condition is typical for a picture of this age with some minor discolouration and foxing, but overall the appearance is very good.

14.9 x 18.3cm (5.9" x 7.2")
