J. R. Gray - 1917 Oil, St. Ninian's Peer
DescriptionAn early 20th century oil from artist J.R. Gray. Depicting a continental canal scene, with small boats and figures. A church and large town houses appear in the background. Inscribed on the reverse is the possible location 'St. Ninian's'. The rest of the inscription has been partially obscured by the adhesive used to mount the board. Signed and dated. On board.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and very minor paint loss to the edges of the board. However this does not affect the main image. Minor surface scratches.
