Inge Clayton FRSA (1942-2010) - Signed 1985 Monotype, Nude Study

Item Sold

An evocative monoprint with watercolour wash by admired feminist artist Inge Clayton. The unusual composition shows the cross section of a woman's chest alongside a chair and bowl of fruit. Here the artist visually represents the commodification of the female body, using the printed medium to create an important political statement. Signed and dated. On wove.

There is some light creasing to the page and spots of discolouration to the lower right edge, below the artist's signature.
