Inge Clayton FRSA (1942-2010) - 1985 Etching, 20 Years of Melos

An interesting and unique etching from established Austrian artist Inge Clayton. Possibly a poster advertising a show for the band 'Melos Ensemble', a London chamber music band formed in the 1950's. The graphic lettering written in German translates to '20 years of Melos'. Clayton has used sections of patterned paper and a feather pressed directly into the paper, to create bold cut out shapes. Inscribed underneath the image with the print number '1/1'. Signed. On wove.

In fine condition.
