Ian Cryer PPROI (b.1959) - Signed & Framed Contemporary Oil, Rugby at Night
DescriptionAn impressive oil painting by prolific British artist Ian Cryer. Based in the West Country Cryer is best known for his landscapes, interiors and representations of British rural life. This particular scene shows a game of rugby with two figures pictured mid tackle. Cryer's luminescent colour palette truly captures the dull floodlit rugby pitch at night. The rapid brushstrokes give this artwork a spontaneity, the dynamic figures rushing across the pitch with athletic speed. Presented in a simple painted frame. Signed. On board.
There is some surface dirt and scuffing to the frame. Overall the appearance is very good.
