DescriptionAn 18th Century engraving after the original dated 1658, depicting Hieronim Radziejowski (1612-1667), a polish noble, diplomat and politician who came into conflict with King John II Casimir when he found out that his wife, Elżbieta Słuszka was the King's mistress. Radziejowski started to conspire against the King with the enemies, and as a result was sentenced to infamy and banishment in 1652. Inscribed. On watermarked laid.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, surface marks and small losses at the edges. Trimmed within the plate.
