Gustaf Adolf Emanuel Fahle was born in 1906 in Norrköping, Sweeden. He studied at Gottfrid Larsson and Edward Berggren's painting school in Stockholm from 1929 to 1931, after which he spent some time at Maison Watteau in Paris, the journey continued to Spain and Mallorca which he combined with a rapid visit to Germany, Holland and Belgium. He returned to the Balearic Islands , Mallorca and Ibiza in the spring of 1952. During his first years as an artist he worked exclusively with watercolor. He debuted with his watercolors at a solo exhibition in Norrköping in 1933, which he followed up with an acclaimed exhibition in Gävle in 1934. In the middle of the 1930s he departed the watercolors and worked increasingly with oil paintings. He exhibited with Östgöta Art Society and the Swedish Art Society's collection exhibitions.
